Females aged 17-35 years now have access to free GP consultations and contraceptive prescriptions. Clonee Pharmacy can facilitate people eligible for free contraception.
Who is eligible for the free contraception scheme?
You can get free contraception if you are:
⦁A woman or person with a uterus
⦁Aged 17-35
⦁Have a valid prescription (GP consultation is free of charge)
⦁Have a PPS number
⦁Living in Ireland
You do not need a prescription for the emergency contraceptive pill (morning after pill). Our pharmacists at Clonee pharmacy can give the emergency contraceptive pill after a private and confidential consultation, no need to visit your GP.
